Spicy Vindaloo Meatballs with Rice - Tikka N' Curry

These delicious ground pork meatballs are a favorite of my kids and make a great weekday dinner. Quick and simple, the meal comes together in less than 20 minutes, even when served with our Perfectly Plain Rice that cooks in just 90 seconds. Faster than you can dial for takeout.


Serves: 2


  • 5 tbsp. oil
  • 1 cup or 200 gram ground pork or minced chicken
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. green onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced
  • 2 small green chilies
  • 1/2 jar Tikka N’ Curry Vindaloo sauce
  • Chopped cilantro for garnishing
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
  • 3 tbsp. coconut cream (optional)



  • Combine the ground pork or minced chicken, minced garlic, green onions, salt, lime juice, black pepper (optional), and red pepper flakes (optional) to make the meatballs.
  • Heat the 3 tbsp. oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Pan-fry the meatballs until browned and fully cooked. Set it aside.
  • Remove excess oil from the saucepan.
  • Heat the 2 tbsp. oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and green chili and cook, turning periodically, over medium heat, until the onion is tender.
  • Add Tikka N’ Curry Vindaloo sauce, coconut cream (optional). Stirring constantly, bring to a simmer.
  • Add the meatballs to the pan and continue cooking for 15-20 minutes. Do not cover the saucepan. Add water if the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Serve hot over basmati rice.
